Da Nang has its own way of drinking beer.

Craft beer in Da Nang is no longer a tiny niche. The city has its own breweries, multi-tap bars, familiar Vietnamese craft beer brands, and a community large enough to support craft beer events that gather dozens of breweries in one place.

What makes the scene interesting is how well it fits Da Nang’s personality: open, easygoing, not too serious, but still full of character. Some places brew small batches with a local, homely feel. Some lean into hop-forward IPAs. Others pour Belgian beer, German-style lagers, fruit beers, sours, or stouts. And finally, one place takes the whole brewery experience nearly 1,500 meters above sea level.

• Resonance Brewing Company takes a more conceptual approach. Its beers are linked to musical inspiration, as if each batch carries its own frequency. This is a good stop for people who like trying something new rather than ordering one safe pint and staying there all night.
• Belgo Belgian Craft Beer Brewery brings a different branch to the crawl: Belgian beer. If you enjoy witbier, dubbel, tripel, or beers with deeper yeast character, spice, and finish, Belgo is an interesting choice, especially if you want to pair your beer with European-style food.
• East West Brewing Co. was not born in Da Nang, but it is one of Vietnam’s familiar craft beer names and appears at many venues around the city. It is a safe choice if you want a reliable range of beers that are easy to order, easy to drink, and fairly consistent.

You do not need to visit them all. Craft beer is best when you choose by mood: lager or wheat beer for something light, stout for something richer, and IPA when you want the hops to speak clearly.

There is no traffic noise, no heat rising from the road, just cooler air, drifting clouds, and a fresh beer in your hand.

Sun Kraft is introduced as being brewed in the spirit of Reinheitsgebot, the German beer purity law, using basic ingredients such as water, malt, hops, and yeast. If you like lagers, wheat beers, or clean, easy-drinking styles, this is a fitting stop. The beer is unfiltered, unpasteurized, and poured fresh on site, so it feels different from bottled beer that has traveled through many steps before reaching you.

The experience is not only about drinking. Bana Brew House also lets visitors see part of the brewing process, from ingredients to production and bottling. After that, you can sit down at the restaurant, order a European-style meal, and let the beer go with Ba Na’s cooler mountain air.

Of course, this is not a place to squeeze into a quick night out in town. To drink at Bana Brew House, you need to go up to Ba Na Hills, which means setting aside at least half a day or close to a full day.
